Thanks to the Pet Travel Scheme (PETS) and the introduction of "pet passports", it is now possible to take your pet in and out of the UK to European Union and many other countries without the need for quarantine on its return - providing your pet meets the rules.

The Pet Travel Scheme covers dogs, cats and ferrets and you will need a pet passport to enter or re-enter the UK from countries covered by the scheme. read more

With your Pet Travel Scheme pet passport you can travel with your pet cat or dog to and from a large number of countries including European Union countries, Australia, New Zealand, the USA and Canada. read more

Bring a rabbit, rat, mouse or other rodent into the UK
Pet rabbits and rodents such as pet rats and chipmunks are not currently covered by the Pet Travel Scheme and do not need a pet passport for travel within the EU and certain countries. read more
